PROGRAM: Concept is to learn English while enjoying a vacation in Hawaii.
English classes are Monday through Friday mornings for 3 hours

PROGRAM: Big Island Homestay School is an English language, intensive
adventure program located on the Island of Hawaii. It is a "teacher
homestay camp" experience. You improve your English by living
with your teachers. You study in the morning and do exciting
activities in the afternoon like snorkeling, swimming, boogie-boarding,
surfing, scuba diving, horseback riding, parasailing, hiking,
kayaking, and more.

PROGRAM: George House Academy is a private English language school located
in downtown Honolulu. It was established in 1996 to provide several
different programs for learners of English as a Second Language.
Existing programs are designed for students planning to attend
an American university, for students planning to use English for
career purposes, and for students who want to study English just
for fun. Designed to be highly flexible, there are short-term,
one-month, three-month and one-year courses.

PROGRAM: ICC is a private language school located in a modern building
close to Ala Moana Shopping Center. There are eight large, air
conditioned classrooms all having new furnishings, tables, white
boards, etc. In addition, ICC has a listening lab, a video room
and a multimedia fully networked computer center. Faculty are
university trained, the majority have a masters degree in English
as a Second Language. ICC has program affiliation with the Institute
of Intensive English.

PROGRAM: S.E.P. is focused on improving spoken English skills. Students
who participate in the program have many opportunities to increase
conversational accuracy and fluency in English and to strengthen
listening comprehension. All S.E.P. instructors are university-trained

PROGRAM: Non-native English speakers who are admitted to the University
of Hawaii are screened by the English Language Institute. Those
judged to be in need of further specialized training first attend
the English Language Institute to raise their level of English
competency. The program is administered by the University of
